A HAPPY VALENTINO THE LOVE BUNNY MOMENT TO REMEMBER

It was great to meet lots of new people at the Books & Bunnies event at the Newport Beach Public Library. We participated in this event twice. The first year, this sweet girl took such a liking to Valentino. Her name is Ami. She spent the longest time with him, even drawing a picture and leaving him a message, while her mother looked on from afar. I kept wishing her mother would come and get her a bunny, but it didn’t happen. As more people started coming to meet Valentino and see his beautiful books, Ami moved on with her mother and I didn’t see her again. As I drove home to Santa Barbara, I just couldn’t stop thinking about her and wishing I had given her a super-soft plushie of her own. A year went by, then I was invited to participate in the event again. Well, I got a great surprise when I saw Ami coming my way, and I was able to finally give her the Valentino she had never forgotten. The look on her face was so moving. I had the feeling that she was  an only child and maybe a little bit lonely. Knowing she was going to have my beautiful bunny to warm and comfort her gave me the joy that started my Valentino journey in the first place. Bringing people joy is one of the greatest gifts we have. Spread love everywhere you go, just like Valentino!

Spiritual Vision

Do you see what I see?……

A life without spirituality is INCOMPLETE.

Life is bigger than us. The farther you reach beyond yourself - into the world and the universe, the more you understand this. Let nature be your church if you don’t have one.

A Spring message for the children

Spring is on the way - one of Valentino’s favorite times of the year! It’s a season to look forward to longer days filled with sunshine and blooming flowers. Now is the perfect time to get back in the habit of meeting up with friends, playing games, riding bikes or settling down under a tree in the garden for some quiet time with a good book. In fact, Valentino highly recommends the first book in his series, Valentino The Love Bunny And How He Came To Be! Here’s an excerpt:

“He had a beautiful place to live full of wonder. His garden was like a jungle, bursting with color and life. There were flowers, plants and trees of all shapes and sizes that were also home to froggies, birds and bees. Yes, he thought, he was truly on top of the world, still, Valentino had feelings inside himself he couldn’t make sense of. He felt there was more to life than just having fun. He wanted to have a PURPOSE, a way to share the happiness he felt everyday.”

How do you find purpose and happiness? Let us know your thoughts!

Valentino on the Red Carpet at the Oscars… with Malala!

Valentino “hopped” on the Red Carpet at the 2023 Oscars this past Sunday evening! He introduced himself to Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala, who was there to represent Stranger At The Gate, a nominated documentary film she worked on as the executive producer. When asked a silly question by host Jimmy Kimmel, she had the perfect reply, "I only talk about peace," and Jimmy replied: "You know what, that's why you're Malala and nobody else is. That's a great answer, Malala. The winner is malala-land, everybody.” She later addressed the incident in a tweet by writing: "Treat people with kindness."

Valentino and Malala think alike! Kindness, in thoughts and actions, is the foundation for creating peace in the world. Learn more from Valentino The Love Bunny author Margarita Fairbanks, visit  https://youtu.be/kN_-xmrzV6c

We need to keep believing in each other, helping each other in each instance that we can. So wether it is your first Christmas without someone you love, like in our case, or you are alone (I wish for you to get a pet!), or just plain old get sad at this time of year, YOU are in our thoughts and prayers.
